Cronus Zen Anti Recoil: Settings and Scripts
The Cronus Zen has no anti recoil of its own: with no script running it passes your controller through unchanged. Anti recoil comes from a script on one of its slots. While you fire, the script pulls your right stick down, and sometimes sideways, against the gun's kick, by values you set in its menu on the Zen's screen.
How Zen anti recoil works
The Zen never sees the game. It only gets your controller's input, so it can't tell how hard a gun is kicking or where your shots land. A script moves the stick by the numbers you set, the same way every time you fire. That is why the values need tuning per gun, and why they drift when a patch changes a weapon.
Scripts pull in one of two ways:
- A steady pull. The stick is held down by a Vertical value, and sideways by a Horizontal one, for as long as you fire. Avenged's MVP Aim pulls down by its Vertical Recoil, 15 by default, from 5 to 50.
- A pattern. The pull follows the gun through the spray. Bunnies' Rust runs each automatic gun's standing or crouched pattern, Rainbow Reaper has presets for 30 guns plus a Custom profile with start, end and time values, and Panda Raiders offers both, as Basic and Weapon.
When it pulls
Most scripts pull only while you aim and fire together, L2 and R2 (LT and RT on Xbox), which leaves hip fire alone. Some work differently:
- Avenged's MVP Aim pulls whenever you hold R2.
- Bunnies' Rust pulls on R2 with an automatic gun, from the hip or aiming.
- Cards' Rust waits until L2 and R2 are both past 70%, and its Hipfire option covers some guns on R2 alone.
- yewFN stops pulling once you move the right stick past its value, 30 by default, and Veritas' Attackers has a Movement Adjustment, 80% by default, for when you move the right stick.
The settings
| Setting | What it does | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Vertical | How hard the stick is pulled down while you fire | 0 to 99 per gun in Veritas' Defenders, where every gun starts at 0 |
| Horizontal | A sideways pull for guns that drift left or right | -20 to 20 per gun in MDM Attackers |
| Weapon profiles | Separate values per gun or loadout slot, swapped when you swap weapons | Ghost keeps Primary, Secondary and Ground Loot, swapped on Triangle (Y) |
| Stance | A different pull standing and crouched | Both Rust scripts track crouch from your Circle (B) presses |
| Strength scaling | Scales every gun's values at once | Rainbow Reaper's Vert Corr and Hori Corr, 0 to 200% |
| Easing | Brings the pull in gradually | PandaAim's Human Logic: Low, Medium or High |
| Level | One strength number instead of separate values | Luna Plus, 1 to 10, 5 by default |
How to tune it
- Set the script's layout to match your in-game controls: Btn L and Stk L in Ghost and Rainbow Reaper, Layout in the Veritas and MDM scripts.
- Pick your gun or operator first if the script asks. In Veritas' Defenders, picking a gun resets its values.
- Turn anti recoil on. It starts off in NEBULA, Unreal and Panda Raiders, and in Ghost and Rainbow Reaper you switch on AR Toggle.
- Fire a full spray at one spot on a wall.
- The aim climbs above the spot: raise Vertical a step. It ends below: lower it.
- It drifts to one side: change Horizontal a step at a time until it stops.
- Repeat for each gun. Attachments and your in-game sensitivity change what a gun needs, so tune again after changing either.
Some scripts tune while you fire: in Veritas' Attackers, D-pad Down and Up change Vertical and Left and Right change Horizontal. Values saved on the Zen stay with that slot, but Bunnies' Rust doesn't save, so its settings go back to default at power-off. Note yours down.
Anti recoil does nothing
- It is off, or the gun is at 0.
- You aren't holding what it waits for, usually aim and fire together.
- In yew ARC, turn Enhancers off: anti recoil and aim assist only take effect without it.
- In PandaAim on PS4, Xbox or PC, turn vibration on: its anti recoil needs it there.
- The script's layout or your in-game binds don't match.
- Nothing works at all: script-not-working.
Scripts with anti recoil
Free scripts need only a Discord sign-in. Club scripts come with the Club or All Scripts.
Anti recoil and bans
Activision says its RICOCHET anti-cheat detects the Cronus Zen by how your inputs behave rather than by the hardware plugged in, and Epic has prohibited the Zen in Fortnite since 2022. Read bans before you play online with a script running.
