Wireless controllers
DualSense and DualSense Edge over Bluetooth have no adaptive triggers, rumble, gyro or mic. Wire them by USB for those.
Xbox (Wireless Adapter)
- Plug the Xbox Wireless Adapter into A3.
- Plug the Xbox controller into A2 with a USB cable.
- Wait a few seconds, then unplug the cable.
- Wait for the adapter light to stop blinking and turn solid white.
- Crossover only: plug a controller that matches the console into A1 as the AUTH controller, for example a DualSense on PS5. Not needed on Switch.
PlayStation (Bluetooth)
- Press P2 on the Zen. Its lights flash blue.
- Hold Share + PS on a DualShock 4, or Create + PS on a DualSense, until the light bar flashes.
- Wait for the light bar and the Zen lights to turn solid blue.
- Crossover only: plug a controller that matches the console into A1 as the AUTH controller. Not needed on Switch.
Switch Pro Controller
- Press P2 on the Zen. Its lights flash blue.
- Hold SYNC on the controller until the player lights flash.
- Wait for the player lights and the Zen lights to stop flashing and stay on.
- Crossover only: plug a controller that matches the console into A1 as the AUTH controller.
Joy-Con
- Connect PROG to a computer and set the output protocol to
Nintendo Switchin Zen Studio (output-protocol). - On the Switch, open System Settings > Controllers and Sensors and turn on Pro Controller Wired Communication.
- Plug CONSOLE/PC into the Switch dock with the dock's power supply connected. In handheld mode use a USB-C OTG adapter instead.
- Press P2 until the Zen lights flash blue.
- Hold SYNC on the left Joy-Con until the Zen lights turn red and the Joy-Con vibrates.
- Hold SYNC on the right Joy-Con until it vibrates.
