Where to Enter a Cronus Zen Script License Key

You type the code on the Cronus Zen itself, with your controller, not on a website or in Zen Studio. A locked script shows its code screen when it starts, and nothing reaches the console until the code is accepted. The Zen then remembers the code for that slot and goes straight into the same script every time. For another script from the same file, program the file to another slot and type that script's code there.

  1. Get the code for your script at License Key. Codes tagged Free cost nothing. Codes tagged Club come with the Club.
  2. Program the script to a slot and plug the Zen into your console with the controller connected.
  3. Switch the Zen to that slot. Its screen shows where to get a code.
  4. Press Cross on PlayStation or A on Xbox, even though the screen shows an X. A grid of letters appears.
  5. Move around the grid with the D-pad or the left stick.
  6. Press Cross or A to type the highlighted letter.
  7. Press Circle or B to delete the last letter, or Triangle or Y to start again.
  8. Type all 8 letters. The Zen checks the code on the 8th letter and shows a tick when it is right.
  9. Shows a cross? Check the code at License Key and type it again. Each wrong try waits a little longer.

Getting the code

  • Every code is a card on License Key with a Free or Club badge, and anyone can see the cards.
  • Signed out, Show code opens the sign-in card first, then carries on.
  • Some codes first ask for an upvote: press Upvote on Collective Minds, upvote the script on the page that opens, and come back after at least 6 seconds.
  • Club codes show for Club members and All Scripts owners. cronus2K on its own does not include them.
  • Direct download, on some cards, puts the site's unlocked copy on slot 1 instead of giving a code, replacing whatever slot 1 holds.

On Xbox

The code screen draws PlayStation buttons. Its X is Cross, so press A to open the grid and type, B to delete a letter and Y to start again.
