Your Zen holds up to 8 scripts, one per slot, and you switch between them on the Zen. Nothing changes on it until you press Program.
Have your own script? Drag a .gpc or .cz file from your computer onto a slot. If you’re signed in, a copy of any .gpc file you program is sent to the Cronus Zens team; .cz files are not shared.
How does programming work?
Choosing a script only plans the change. Your Zen is not touched until you press Program, which writes everything you chose in one go.
Program rewrites all 8 slots, so it first saves the scripts you did not change and puts them back afterwards. It takes about a minute. Keep the Zen plugged in until it says it is done.
To use a script, unplug the Zen from this computer, plug it into your console and your controller into the Zen, and press the button on the Zen to switch to that script’s slot.
Restart, erase or reset your Zen from Device Management, the tray icon at the top right.
Cronus Zens: free Zen scripts for NBA 2K27 on PS5 and Xbox
Cronus Zens has 14 free NBA 2K27 Zen scripts, and each one works on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC because a script runs on the Zen, not the console. Fortnite, Call of Duty and 3 more games share another 15 free scripts, the Club adds 22 scripts, and cronus2K is our own 2K27 script. Every one programs to your Zen from this page, with nothing to install.
Free NBA 2K27 Zen scripts
The other 14 NBA 2K27 scripts here come with the Club. The free one that does the most is SLEM: auto green, quick stop, dribble moves, defense and stamina. The latest update is Peak+ on 31 October 2026.
To put one on your Zen, sign in with Discord, connect the Zen above through its PROG port, choose a 2K27 script for a slot and press Program. What the Studio is
The Studio is the whole programming tool, so you do not need Collective Minds’ Zen Studio desktop app. It runs in Chrome, Edge or Opera on Windows, Mac, Linux and ChromeOS, which also makes it the only way to program a Zen from Linux, since the desktop app is Windows and macOS only. Phones, Safari and Firefox cannot reach a Zen over USB.
Connect through the Zen’s PROG port with a data cable and pick Cronus Bridge when the browser asks, which it does only the first time. The other port, CONSOLE/PC, goes to your console, and to this computer only when you update the firmware. A charge-only cable powers the Zen but cannot carry a script.
Eight slots on one Zen
Each slot holds one script, a small GPC program that changes what your controller sends to the console (what a Zen script is), and the right blue button on the Zen steps through them. Give each game its own slot, or give one game two: an NBA 2K26 script beside a 2K27 one, or a Rainbow Six Siege attacker script beside its defender script, switched when the round changes sides. Cycle to the logo screen and the Zen runs no script at all.
Slots keep what you set. A locked script remembers the code you type on the Zen for its slot, many scripts save what you change in their menu, opened from the controller, and cronus2K keeps your settings when you program a new version. To empty all eight, open Device Management and press Erase Memory.
Do Zen scripts work on PS5, Xbox and PS4?
Yes. A script runs on the Zen, so the console only changes the setup. On PS5 the Zen needs a Zen Link, which stays in A1, or the manual bypass, which does not stay set and has to be redone: Cronus Zen on PS5. On Xbox and PS4 you set the Zen’s output protocol once in Collective Minds’ Zen Studio, Xbox One X/S or PlayStation 4/5, and plug the console’s own controller into A1. Playing with a controller from another console means leaving that one in A1 as the AUTH controller and plugging yours into A3. Quick start runs from the box to your first game.
Whatever the console, each game decides what it allows online. Activision and 2K have banned accounts over devices and scripts like these, and Epic does not allow the Zen in Fortnite at all: Can you get banned for using a Cronus Zen? has what each one said.
What is free
The Studio, the Updater, the guides and Support Chat cost nothing, and so do 29 of the 51 scripts. Browsing needs no account; programming needs a Discord sign-in, and then any free script can go on your Zen as often as you like. Codes for our free scripts that are locked on Collective Minds are free on the License Key page.
The paid plans add our own script and the Club’s. The Club is $30 a month with the OLED Mirror and any 2 Club scripts a month; cronus2K is $64.98 once; All Scripts is $119.99 once for every Club script. Plans sets them side by side.
Keeping the firmware current
New scripts need recent firmware. The Studio shows your Zen’s version once it connects, and the Updater installs the latest from the same browser: unplug the Zen, hold the small blue reset button while you plug its CONSOLE/PC port into the computer, wait for Zen Bootloader on its screen, then connect and install. Keep it plugged in until it says it is done, because a cut-off update can stop the Zen starting normally.
The same steps clear the E3, E3001 and E3002 errors. Error messages covers the rest, and Hard reset wipes the Zen when nothing else works.
