ps5
PlayStation 5
- Consoles: PS5, PS5 Digital, PS5 Slim, PS5 Pro
- Controllers: DualSense, DualSense Edge
Zen Link (recommended)
- Set up Zen Link with zen-link-setup.
- Apply the PS5 settings in zen-link-ps5.
Bypass
Only without Zen Link. The bypass does not stay set, so you will have to redo it.
- On the PS5, open Settings > Accessories > General > Advanced Settings.
- Make sure Bluetooth is on. If it is off, select Turn On Bluetooth, press Cross and wait for the PS5 to restart.
- Pair your controller over Bluetooth from Bluetooth Accessories.
- Set Settings > Accessories > Controller (General) > Communication Method to Use USB Cable and confirm with Cross.
- Connect the Zen's CONSOLE/PC port to a front USB port on the PS5.
- If the Zen's screen shows a script or GamePack icon, press the right blue button until the Gearhead logo is displayed.
- Replug the CONSOLE/PC cable once and check that the Gearhead logo is still the screen shown.
- Disconnect the Zen from the PS5.
- Plug the controller into the Zen's A1 port.
- Open Settings > Accessories > General > Turn Off Accessories and move the D-pad onto your controller. Do not press Cross.
- Hold D-pad Right, reconnect the CONSOLE/PC cable and keep the button down for about 5 seconds, until the Zen's screen flashes and the Gearhead logo comes back.
- Release D-pad Right, press Circle to leave the menu and start your game.
The DualSense mic and speaker do not work through the Zen, and a headset in its jack needs the controller on USB (headsets).
