Update your Zen
Puts the newest Collective Minds firmware on your Zen in about a minute.
Press and hold the blue button on the back of your Zen. While holding it, connect the top USB port to this computer.
Cronus Zen firmware update in your browser
The Updater installs Cronus Zen firmware from Chrome, Edge or Opera on a computer, so you do not need Collective Minds’ desktop app. The versions and the firmware files are Collective Minds’ own, from the same list their tool reads.
New scripts need recent firmware. Connect your Zen in the Studio to see the version it has, and update if it is older than the one marked Latest here. If the Studio says Firmware Version Incompatible, your Zen needs this update.
Which firmware version to install
Latest is selected once your Zen connects, and it is the one to install. Versions marked Beta are test builds and may have problems. Older versions are in the list too.
When the firmware update does not work
Zen missing from the browser’s list? It is not in update mode yet, or the cable only charges: Zen not detected covers both. If an install stops part-way, the Zen may not start normally until one finishes, so put it back in update mode and install again.
