Wheel on PS4
Keep your hands off the wheel once it is connected: force feedback setup and calibration start automatically and it can move suddenly.
- Have ready: a supported wheel and game (wheels) with the wheel's power and every pedal and shifter attached, a DualShock 4 v2 (CUH-ZCT2X) as the AUTH controller (a v1, CUH-ZCT1X, will not work), and Zen Studio on a Windows PC.
- Fanatec wheel: put it in PS3 mode first with fanatec-ps3.
- On the PS4, go to Settings > Devices > Controllers > Communication Method and choose Use USB Cable.
- In Settings > Power Save Settings > Set Time Until Controllers Turn Off, choose Do Not Turn Off.
- Plug the Zen into the PS4 with any controller in it.
- Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth Devices and Forget Device on every PlayStation controller so none re-pairs by itself.
- Plug the Zen's PROG port into your Windows PC and open Zen Studio.
- Go to Tools > Zen Operational Mode, pick Wheel Mode and click Finish. The Zen's screen shows the Wheel Mode logo.
- In Device Panel, set Emulator Output Protocol to AUTO and turn off PS4 Speciality and PS Remote Play.
- Press the Zen's reset button once and confirm Zen Studio's status bar reads Wheel Mode. If it shows Device Disconnected, replug PROG.
- Unplug every cable from the Zen.
- Plug the DualShock 4 v2 into A1 and keep it there while you play; without it the wheel drops out about every 8 to 10 minutes.
- Plug the wheel into A3 with its power connected.
- Plug the Zen's CONSOLE/PC port into the PS4, using a rear USB port on a PS4 Pro.
- With the controller and wheel both on, press the reset button to sync, then keep your hands off while it calibrates.
- If it does not sync, unplug the DualShock 4 from A1 and plug it back in.
The game sees your wheel as a Logitech G29, so no remapping is needed.
