mk-emulation
Native vs emulation
Native
- The game reads the mouse and keyboard itself.
- No setup.
- Raw input with no conversion.
- Only in games that support mouse and keyboard, which most console games do not.
- No aim assist, as the game sees PC-style input.
- No scripts, custom mapping or tuning.
Emulation
- The Zen sits in between and turns the mouse and keyboard into controller input.
- Any game that takes a controller works.
- Aim assist still applies, because the game sees a controller.
- Scripts, mods, custom key mapping, and sensitivity, smoothing and deadzone tuning all work.
- Not raw: every movement becomes stick and button input.
- Needs setup first: connect it (mk-setup), then load or build a profile and tune it (mk-settings).
