Cronus Zens
Using an NBA 2K27 Zen script on PS5
A Zen script runs on the Cronus Zen, not on the PS5, so every NBA 2K27 script in our catalogue works on a PS5, PS5 Digital, PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro. What is different on PS5 is the connection: the Zen needs a Zen Link or the bypass before your DualSense works through it. Below are both, the port each cable and controller goes in, the DualSense buttons the scripts use, and fixes for the problems PS5 players hit most.

What’s in the video
What you need
- A PS5, PS5 Digital, PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro.
- A DualSense or DualSense Edge.
- A Zen Link, or a few minutes to redo the bypass, which doesn't stay set.
- A computer with Chrome, Edge or Opera and a USB data cable, to program the script. You don't program from the PS5.
- Current firmware on the Zen, from the firmware updater.
There is no output protocol to set for PS5. Xbox, PS4 and Switch each need one chosen in Zen Studio, but the PS5 steps use Zen Link or the bypass instead.
Zen Link or the bypass
Zen Link is the recommended way. It is Collective Minds' adapter for the Zen, set up from the Zenlink phone app, and it runs PS5 Native Mode. Check the label underneath: V2 printed on it means a V2, and the original V1 needs a one-time upgrade first, described in Zen Link setup.
With the Zen powered, plug the Zen Link into A1 and leave it there for PS5 play. With a DualSense Edge, plug the controller into A2 and the Zen Link into A3 instead. Wait for its light to turn blue, then set it up in the Zenlink app with Bluetooth on and your phone on the Wi-Fi the Zen Link will use, which must support 2.4 GHz. The app asks for the Wi-Fi name and password, and setup is done when you reach the CRONUS ZenLink home screen. The full steps are in Zen Link setup.
Then change the PS5 settings Zen Link needs. Under Accessories, set Controller (General) > Communication Method to Use USB Cable, and turn Bluetooth off under Advanced Settings. Under System > Power Saving, set the PS5 not to enter rest mode while playing games, supply power to the USB ports always, and set controllers never to turn off. Zen Link PS5 settings lists each one, with the custom profile a DualSense Edge needs.
The bypass works without a Zen Link but has to be redone. In short: with the PS5's Bluetooth on, pair your controller to it, set Communication Method to Use USB Cable, and plug the Zen's CONSOLE/PC port into a front USB port with the Zen on its Gearhead logo screen. Replug that cable once and check the logo is still showing, then unplug the Zen and plug your controller into A1. Open Settings > Accessories > General > Turn Off Accessories and move onto your controller without pressing Cross. Hold D-pad Right while you reconnect the CONSOLE/PC cable, for about 5 seconds until the Zen's screen flashes and the logo comes back, then press Circle and start the game. Every step is in the PS5 guide.
Which port takes what on PS5
| Port on the Zen | On PS5 |
|---|---|
| PROG (side) | Your computer, while you program. The Zen comes off the computer to play. |
| CONSOLE/PC (back) | The PS5. The bypass uses a front USB port. |
| A1 | The Zen Link, or your DualSense when you use the bypass. |
| A2 | A DualSense Edge while the Zen Link is in A3, or a wired DualSense for headset audio. |
| A3 | The Zen Link while a DualSense Edge is in A2, or a wired DualSense for headset audio. |
With a Zen Link, a DualSense can also pair to the Zen over Bluetooth: press P2 on the Zen, then hold Create and PS until the light bar flashes, and wait for it and the Zen's lights to turn solid blue. Over Bluetooth a DualSense or DualSense Edge has no adaptive triggers, rumble, gyro or mic, so wire it to the Zen if you want any of those.
DualSense buttons in NBA 2K27 scripts
Script descriptions and menus use PlayStation names, so on a DualSense they read as written: Square, Cross, Circle, Triangle, L1, R1, L2, R2, and L3 and R3 for the stick clicks. The Zen's own screen draws PlayStation icons too. Most menus, cronus2K's included, open with L2 and OPTIONS: hold L2 first, then press OPTIONS.
All 26 NBA 2K27 descriptions on our script pages give the PlayStation button first and the Xbox one in brackets, such as Square (X on Xbox), so on PS5 you can read past the brackets.
One name differs between PlayStation controllers. The button a DualShock 4 calls Share is called Create on a DualSense, so when a description says Share, press Create. Some scripts use L2 with Share or Create to switch the script off and on, and cronus2K's quick switch is holding L2, then holding Create for more than half a second.
The DualSense's own mic and speaker don't work through the Zen, whichever way it is connected.
Scripts that use a rumble cue
A DualSense on Bluetooth to the Zen has no rumble, which matters for scripts that buzz as a cue. These descriptions mention a vibration or rumble, so keep the controller wired to the Zen if you play by that cue.
| Script | Access | From its description |
|---|---|---|
| Dime | Club | Button Rhythm turns Square into a stick rhythm shot with a Tempo of 39 ms, and Release Vibrator rumbles the controller once your hold reaches 450 ms. |
| Glock's Remake Cold Fent | Free | When the script loads it shows a logo and then READY with one rumble. |
| Green | Club | There are also RS Auto Tempo, Quickstop, D-pad dribble macros, Infinite Stamina and Shot Vibrator. |
| KB | Free | Hold Square to pull the stick down, let go to flick it up, and a vibration tells you when to release. |
| luraNBA | Club | There is also a Quickstop on L2 or Square, Easy Dunk, dribble combos, Infinite Stamina, Defense on L2 and R2, Hair Triggers, a Shot Vibrator cue and lightbar colours. |
| Saint | Club | Defense Assist, Unlimited Stamina, Instant Triggers, an Auto Clicker and a Release Vibrator cue are also included. |
cronus2K buzzes as well: Rumble Cue in HOLD buzzes once when your hold reaches the window, switching modes with the Mode Button gives a rumble, and Quick Tune buzzes when it saves a nudge.
The NBA 2K27 scripts that run on PS5
All 27 NBA 2K27 scripts in our catalogue run on PS5. None of them is tagged by console, because the script runs on the Zen and the Zen handles the PS5. Free ones need only a Discord sign-in. Club ones come with the Club or All Scripts, or as one of the 3 Club scripts that come with cronus2K.

Common PS5 problems
The controller keeps disconnecting
On PS5 this usually means the bypass wasn't done, or needs doing again, because it doesn't stay set. Redo it from the PS5 guide, or set up a Zen Link so you don't have to.
The PS5 won't connect with Zen Link
Set Settings > Accessories > Controller (General) > Communication Method to Use USB Cable. Without it the PS5 can't reach the Zen and the Zen Link. Then go through the rest of the Zen Link PS5 settings.
The Zenlink app says Connection Failed
Put your phone on the same Wi-Fi as the Zen Link, on a network that supports 2.4 GHz, and tap Try Again. If it still fails, turn off mobile data on the phone. The Zen Link only uses 2.4 GHz, so a router with that band switched off needs it turned back on. More fixes are in Zen Link problems.
The Zen Link light is red
Count one group of blinks and note whether they are short or long. Four short blinks, the most frequent code, means no internet. Every code is in Zen Link status light. Never unplug the Zen Link while its light is steady blue: it is installing an update, which takes up to about 45 seconds.
No sound in the headset
A headset in the DualSense's 3.5 mm jack only works while the controller is wired to the Zen by USB and the console's Bluetooth is on. Zen Link's Native Mode needs the PS5's Bluetooth off, so use a USB headset or a USB wireless dongle in the console. A headset paired to the PS5 over Bluetooth doesn't work through the Zen. The headsets guide has the full list.
Your controller isn't a DualSense
The PS5 section of supported controllers lists the DualSense (CFI-ZCT1W and CFI-ZCT2W) and the DualSense Edge (CFI-ZCP1). The Razer Raiju V3 Pro drops after a few minutes, and the Scuf Omega doesn't work because its PC mode turns the touchpad off. GameSir controllers need Zen Link or the bypass plus a mode change: see GameSir on PlayStation.
The script's menu won't open
Check the Zen is on the slot you programmed: press its right blue button until the script shows on its screen. The Gearhead logo means no script is running. Then hold L2 first and press OPTIONS, the combination most 2K27 scripts and cronus2K use.
An error or a freeze on the Zen
E3, E3001 or E3002 means reinstalling the firmware in bootloader mode. A stack or bytecode error, or a Zen that freezes, needs a hard reset: hold P1 and P2 while you plug in CONSOLE/PC until the lights flash red, green, blue. It wipes every slot, so program your scripts again afterwards. Details are in error messages.
Still stuck? Ask in Support Chat and say which step you are on and what the Zen's screen shows.

Three things that cost you games
0:00Want to know what’s actually scary this Halloween? Your shot coming out early in a close rec game, again. If that’s you, this video is for you. I’m going to break down Cronus Zens 2K for NBA 2K27 and fix the three things that haunt most players: early shots, sliding before you shoot, and running out of gas. At the end there’s real in-game footage with the hand cam on. If you want to grab it, the link is down in the description. It’s a one-time purchase that works on all consoles, with lifetime updates, priority support and instant access to all of our guides.
Early shots and calibration
0:31Nightmare number one, early shots. Here’s why they happen. The script can’t see your screen. It sends the same timing every time, starting the moment you press. So if you calibrate off a catch and shoot, then shoot off a slower animation, your shot comes out early. The fix is simple. In Crew HQ, calibrate off the exact animation you shoot with, and stick to it in your games. Then use the calibrate feature to dial it in. Take shots, mark each miss as early or late, and the script locks in the top of your green window.
Auto green and button tempo
0:56Once that’s set, auto green does the rest. Tap down on the right stick and the script takes a rhythm shot for you, so your green window is a lot bigger. Prefer your buttons? Button tempo turns your normal button shot into a rhythm shot. It’s close to how 2K26 played, just without the white early shots, and both of them have their own fade.
Quick stop
1:15Nightmare number two, the slide. You let go of your stick, your player keeps drifting, and your shot’s off. Quick stop fixes that. Quick stop one is tap L2 and shoot. Quick stop two is let go and shoot. And R3 quick stop stops you and takes an auto green shot in one press.
Stamina and the rest
1:32Nightmare number three, running out of gas. Infinite stamina keeps refilling, so you can sprint as long as you want. It only works at full sprint, though, so dribbling doesn’t count. So what else is in there? Easy dunk does a contact dunk when you hold L1 on the drive, or a timed dunk with L1 easy. Dribble macros put moves on your D-pad, with down for a hop back, and you can shoot right out of any of them. That’s over 20 features, plus three profiles for your builds. The system menu has hair triggers, overclock, haptic shots that buzz when it’s time to let go, and your Zen color.
Price and code
2:02Cronus Zens 2K is $55 one time, no subscription. And for Halloween, code Halloween10 gets you 10% off. The link is in the description, and if you’ve got any questions, hit us up.
cronus2K today: it is $64.99 once with lifetime updates, and Cronus Zens 2K and cz2K in the video are now called cronus2K. The full feature list is on the cronus2K page.
PS5 questions
Do I need a Zen Link to use an NBA 2K27 Zen script on PS5?
No, but it is the recommended way. Without one the bypass works, and you redo it each time because it doesn't stay set.
Can I program a script from my PS5?
No. Programming needs a computer with Chrome, Edge or Opera and a data cable in the Zen's PROG port. Program the slot there, then move the Zen to the PS5.
Does a DualSense Edge work?
Yes. With a Zen Link, plug the controller into A2 and the Zen Link into A3, make the controller settings under Profile 1, and create a custom profile with the right stick curve on Default, curve adjustment 0 and deadzone 0%.
Does an NBA 2K27 Zen script work on PS4?
NBA 2K27 isn't on PS4, so there is nothing to run it on there. The same scripts run on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
