Cronus Zens
Cronus Zen vs Strike Pack
Pick a Strike Pack if you want back paddles and Collective Minds’ ready-made mods on a standard controller, set up from your phone, for $49.99 to $69.99. Pick a Cronus Zen if you want to run any GPC script, use a controller from another console or a mouse and keyboard, or play on Switch. Collective Minds says its older PS4 and Xbox One Strike Packs work alongside a Zen.
We run Cronus Zens, a script site for the Cronus Zen, so this page is ours. Both devices are made by Collective Minds, and the facts come from its own store and guides, linked where they are used, as checked on Oct 29, 2026.

An attachment and an adapter
A Strike Pack Horizon clips onto the back of a standard controller, over the battery compartment, and adds four programmable paddles or back buttons, by Collective Minds’ Strike Pack guide. It plugs into the console with a cable, and its FAQ says it requires a wired connection, connecting wirelessly only to your phone or tablet for the app.
The Cronus Zen is a box between your controller and the console. The controller plugs into it or pairs with it over Bluetooth, and the Zen runs a script on what you press before it reaches the console. It has no paddles of its own, but it works with official and most licensed controllers, a mouse and keyboard, or an older Strike Pack.
Mods against scripts
The Strike Pack’s features come from Collective Minds. Its PS5 product page lists weapon recoil assist, aim assist, custom macros and controller calibration, and a switch between Tournament Mode and GAMEPACK Mode. The mods arrive as GamePacks in the app, and the FAQ says a persistent connection to the app is needed to use them. Asked whether you can add your own mods, the FAQ answers no, though you can build and share macros with the Macro GamePack.
The Zen runs any GPC script, from Collective Minds’ GPC Library, from script sites like ours or written yourself, in 8 slots you switch between with a button, with settings menus on the Zen’s screen. Scripts on this site include cronus2K for NBA 2K27 shot timing and the free NBA 2K27 scripts.
Controllers and consoles
- Strike Pack Horizon models are incompatible with Xbox Elite, DualSense Edge and third-party controllers.
- There is a PS5 and PC model and two Xbox models, a Paddle Edition and a Button Edition, for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
- The older Strike Pack Dominator and Eliminator for PS4 work only with a standard DualShock 4, so on a PS5 only in PS4 games, by Collective Minds’ FAQ.
- The Zen takes controllers from other consoles, wireless controllers and a mouse and keyboard, and plays on Switch as well. Setup: supported controllers and mouse and keyboard.
Setting each one up
The Strike Pack is run from a phone. Collective Minds’ update notes show the STRIKEPACK HORIZON app arriving with firmware 1.5.0 for PS5 and 3.2.0 for Xbox on September 15, 2026, replacing the older Strikepack Central app. Firmware updates are done over a cable from Chrome. The Zen is set up from a computer, with Collective Minds’ Zen Studio or the Studio on this site in Chrome, Edge or Opera, and its firmware comes from the Updater.
Price and subscriptions
At Collective Minds’ store the Strike Pack Horizon was $69.99 for PS5 and PC and $49.99 for Xbox when we checked. The older Universal Strike Pack Dominator for Xbox was $34.99, and the Dominator for PS4 $39.99. The Cronus Zen was $109.99, and PS5 play adds the $29.99 Zen Link.
Neither has a subscription. Collective Minds’ news says the Horizon has no subscription or M.O.D. Pass, and the old M.O.D. Pass for the Dominator and Eliminator has been discontinued.
Using a Strike Pack with a Zen
Collective Minds’ Zen vs CronusMAX page says the Strike Pack FPS Dominator for PS4 and for Xbox One are fully compatible with the Cronus Zen: you can map buttons to the paddles and use Strike Pack mods and Zen mods at the same time. We found nothing from Collective Minds on using the newer Horizon with a Zen.
Bans apply to both
Collective Minds’ own Strike Pack listings carry a warning that Epic Games has told it the Cronus Zen, Cronus Max and Strike Pack are prohibited in Fortnite and Rocket League. Activision has named the Cronus Zen in its Call of Duty anti-cheat updates. What each publisher has said is in Can you get banned?
Strike Pack questions
Is a Strike Pack the same as a Cronus Zen?
No. Both are made by Collective Minds, but a Strike Pack clips onto a standard controller and adds paddles and Collective Minds’ mods, while the Zen sits between any controller and the console and runs GPC scripts.
Can a Strike Pack run Cronus Zen scripts?
No. Its FAQ says you cannot add your own mods; you get Collective Minds’ GamePacks and macros you build in its app. GPC scripts need a Cronus Zen.
Does the Strike Pack work with a DualSense Edge or Xbox Elite controller?
No. Collective Minds says the Horizon models are incompatible with Xbox Elite, DualSense Edge and third-party controllers.
Can I use a Strike Pack and a Cronus Zen together?
Collective Minds says the Strike Pack FPS Dominator for PS4 and Xbox One works with a Zen, paddles and mods included. It has not said the same for the Horizon.
Do I need a subscription for a Strike Pack?
No. The Horizon has no subscription or M.O.D. Pass, and the old M.O.D. Pass for earlier models has been discontinued.
