Zen Studio Live

Zen Studio Live is the Cronus Zen programmer that runs in a browser tab. Plug the Zen into your computer, press Connect, pick a slot, and the script is written to the device. There is no installer, no account needed to look, and nothing left on your machine afterwards.

It talks to the Zen over WebHID, which is the browser standard for speaking to a USB device directly. That is Chrome, Edge and Opera on a desktop. Safari and Firefox have not implemented it, and no phone browser has, so it is a desktop tool whatever the operating system: Windows, macOS and Linux all work the same way.

What you can do with it

Program any of the 8 slots on the device, swap what is on one, and read back what a Zen already holds. The scripts come from the catalogue, which is free and sorted by game, and the firmware underneath them has its own screen at the Updater. If you have never set a Zen up before, the setup guide covers it from firmware to the script menu.

Linux works too, and it is the only way to write to a Zen there, since the desktop Zen Studio is Windows and macOS only. One permission rule is needed first, and the setup guide has it.
